Surroundings

Camping Pian d'Amora is located on the edge of Coreglia Antelminelli in the middle of the Serchio Valley, the northern part of the province of Lucca. This part of Tuscany is wedged between the Apennine Alps and Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Here, art, history and nature form an excellent combination. You'll encouter Medieval villages, vineyards situated on terraces, ruins of castles and watermills, mountains and valleys  The beautiful natural vistas and ditto fresh air guarantee a wonderful holiday. The Serchio Valley has not yet been discovered by mass tourism.

This is an ideal environment for long (mountain) walks. There are hundreds of trails in various weight categories. This is also the place to be for mountainsports.

The famous tourist places are almost all within reach. Lucca, Pisa and Florence are easy to reach by car. Within an hour you'll get to the boulvard of Viareggio, a large seaside resort on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The marble quarries of Carrara are more than worth a visit. Aswell as Pescia, the city has many squares and surprising vistas. You really have to visit the nature parks in the area, including the Grotta del Vento and Il Parco Naturale dell 'Orecchiella. But a bit of relaxing, and reading a book in the shade of a chestnut tree is quite nice aswell.
